PastFinder München (Munich) 1933-1945: Stadführer zu den Stätten der Vergangenheit
Munich holds a special position as »Hauptstadt der Bewegung (capital of the movement)« with its so called "Führerbauten" in the 3rd Reich. From here Hitler began his way to power. During the war the region developed to an important location for the war industry. With the actions of the resistance group "Weiße Rose", und the attack on Hitlers live by Georg Elser, Munich also got a centre of resistance. Nowadays many of these historical sites are only difficult to find. The unspectacular signs marking the buildings and places are aften overlooked. The PastFinder presents the most important places of the NS-history in Munich and its suborbs and makes them findable again, by a 4-colour-guide-system and maps. The sites are described and shown in b/w- and colour photographs.
