When the Royal Netherlands Army received the NATO order to deploy own forces to the northern part of West Germany to counter the everpresent Warsaw Pact threat, it turned out to be logistically troublesome at best. Over the year, however, the royal Netherlands Troops became a backbone of NATO strategy. This publication tells the story of units such as the Dutch 41st Armoured Brigade and shows their vehicles in hitherto unpublished photographs (23 b/w- and 116 colour photographs, as well as 4 charts).
