This book deals with the production and the operations of the famous Messerschmitt Me 109.
To compensate the big losses of the Me 109, the Ministry of Air Defense decided to produce the Me 109 in big numbers at the following aircraft factories: Erla-Maschinenwerke at Leipzig, Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke and the Messerschmitt GmbH at Regensburg. Later more than 3000 forced laborer had to produce them.
In the 2nd part of the book titled "Operation of the Me 109" former pilots of 2nd WW give report, which tell about successes, wounds, deprivation and death.
With 250 rare photographs, documents and and hitherto unpublished reports.
