This booklet first was published in 1971. It's subject was the Aufklärungs-Lehrabteilung, which the author had built during the Polish and French campaigns. The unit existed until the beginning of 1943 and was then renamed Panzeraufklärungs-Lehrabteilung 130 of the famous Panzer-Lehrdivision.
Cramer describes the deployment and operations of the ALA until 1940. This new edition is supplemented and extended by the operations from 1941 to 1943. In addition, the photos are printed in large format.
