This volume presents the most important events in aviation history in Würzburg. Starting with the first balloon flights in 1894 over the 1st WW I (for example Ernst Udet and Elly Beimhorn were using this airport too) with Robert Ritter von Greim til WW II, where the flying school was extended to an airport of the Luftwaffe.
After WW II the airport was used for civil aviation.
