With numerous historical and previously unpublished photos, the author describes the history of the planned bombing raids on the important industrial plants in the greater area of Regensburg in the years 1939 to 1945. First the main target was the Messerschmittwerke in Regensburg-Prüfing and in today's Neutraubling.
During the course of the war, the Allies also bombed the railway station and the harbor area, and the old town of Regensburg and the civilian population living there were also severely affected. The present volume is a sober documentary, which appears on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of the war and is dedicated to the memory of the numerous victims of the bombing in the greater area of Regensburg - DVD enclosed!
