The little-known history of the Austro-Hungarian aviation troops in 50th biographies.
The FIRST WORLD WAR ended 100 years ago, and with it the history of a mostly neglected part of Austro-Hungarian military history: the Austro-Hungarian aviation troops. Names such as Brumowski, Arigi, Fiala, Linke-Crawford or Bönsch, Kiss and Fejes shape the image of this group of pilots, who successfully fought against a mostly superior opponent, especially on the front line against Italy, for four years. Around 50 pilots and observers achieved five or more aerial victories and became a flying ace.
This volume deals with the biographies of these men, richly illustrated with around 100 photographs and maps.
