Combat History of Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 217.

Combat History of Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 217.
This new title tells the story of the operation of the only unit on the western front equipped with Assault Panzer IV. The Sturmpanzer Division 217 was set up in May 1944 and fought in Normandy, Belgium, the Aachen region and during the Ardennes offensive before finally being wiped out in the Ruhrkessel in April 1945.
The author duo Haasler and Vosters has researched over 20 years and sifted through hundreds of German and American sources and bequests in order to understand the battalion's path step by step and thus present the reader with the most detailed overview of this unit that has ever been written.
On 264 pages, the volume shows 183 large-format b w photos, 10 maps and seven color plates made by Felipe Rodna, which also contain interior views of the assault tank. QR codes on some pages make it possible to visit today's view of historical recordings in Google Maps / Street View after scanning with the smartphone camera.
