Various collections of rare war photographs will be published in this new series. The selection follows different criteria, such as certain battles, campaigns, individual vehicle models or complete photo albums of individual war participants.
This volume is divided into two separate chapters. In the first, previously unpublished photos from the personal photo album of Oberleutnant d.r. Peter Prien are shown. He began his service in January 1941 with Panzer-Nachrichten Division 37 of the 1st Panzer Division and ended the war as the leader of the Pz-Rgt. 3 of the 2nd Pz Division. The album mainly contains recordings from his time with the 2nd Panzer Division during the battles for Kursk.
The second chapter contains a photo series of the 8.8 cm Flak 18 on the half-track chassis of the Sd.Kfz. 8, officially designated as 8.8 cm Flak 18 Sfl. on a heavy 12 t traction vehicle (Sd.Kfz. 8). Most of these images have never been published before.
