Rosenheim ( a small city south of Munich) was only reached by the air war in autumn 1944. With the progress of the Italian front, it came within range of the 15th American Air Fleet, which operated from airfields in Puglia. As the junction of two important railway lines - to the Brenner to Italy and via Salzburg to the Balkans - the Rosenheim railway systems were a strategically important goal. They weren't always targeted. Mostly they were an alternative destination, where the bomb load was unloaded on the way back if the actual destination was not reachable further north.
