Italy already used tanks in the First World War and owned two separate manufacturers, Fiat and Ansaldo. This continued in the Second World War and led to a number of self-designed light and medium-weight models. With the P40 there was even a heavy type. Hungary based its own developments on Czech or Swedish models. Italian and German tanks were also used. Romania had Czech Pz 35 (t) tanks.
Gabriele Faggioni describes in this volume all important types of tanks in the war years 1939 to 1945.
