On 195 pages, the author documents selected suppliers of the Heinkel Group – primarily from the region, which turned to arms production with high expectations in the shadow of the large armaments factory. In addition to smaller medium-sized companies, however, such as Märkische Metallbau Oranienburg and Ikaria-Werke Velten are also the focus of the considerations.
On the basis of numerous eyewitness accounts, a wealth of documents and archival materials, including construction and site plans of the former factory facilities, the author has developed a selected documentation in over 12 years of research and processing, supplemented by a large number of pictures and tables.
