At the end of April 1945, the author, Hans-Otto Cramer, a dentist and a relative of the last commanding General of the German Afrika Korps, Hans Cramer, was in Kufstein, where he wrote this report, which starts in January 1945.
In Jan. 1945 he served as dentist in Upper Silesia, fled to Görlitz, then to Dresden, where he witnessed the terrible bombing of Dresden on 13th of February. Finally he reached Kufstein, where he experienced the last days of war. During his escape he had to witness many air- and Jabo raids. There was no cohesion, no pity and a lot of vandalism...
