This is the story of Major Georg Michael . Born in 1917, he joined the Wehrmacht in 1936. In service with the 6.Reiterregiment 22 and the II./Pz.Gr. Reg. (within the 24. PD), he fought in the Poland campaign, in France and Russia. Awarded with the Oak Leaves for his brave assaults, he died, after being wounded eight times in combat and for the last time near Nikopol (Soviet Union), on 19.1.1944.
