This is the biography of Joachim Schepke, a WW II submarine commander and holder of the oak leaves to the knights cross, who received the medal as 7th soldier of the Wehrmacht and was said to be the boldest convoy-fighter in the German submarine arm. He was in command of U3, U19 and U100. 36 merchant vessels were sunk under his command and he lost his life in March 1941 in the waters around Iceland. The book is illustrated with 100 contemporary images.
