L'Amarante, Corvette 1747

L\'Amarante, Corvette 1747
Corvettes began to show up in the early 1730ies. This type of vessel was refined and developed to the present day. The book presents one of the first constructions of this type of ship. The monography is based on plans drawn by the shipbuilders "Ollivier" (father and son) in the years 1740 to 1750. It is a three masted 12-gun-corvette of around 1747. 31 plans in the scale 1/36 and 1 plan in 1/48, which are enclosed to the booklet, show all aspects of the ship. The booklet (in French language) explains each plan and some black and white pictures show a finished model (no masts), built in 1/48 scale.
