In spring 1941 one of the most successful night fighter aces of the Luftwaffe was Rudolf Frank, who, after his training, joined the nightfighter squadron 3. He was very successful and became one of the best night fighter pilots of the Luftwaffe.
Hi finally awarded the Knight's Cross and posthumously after his death was honored with the Oak Leaves and promoted to officer.
