The three-volume work "Luftkrieg von Aschaffenburg bis Zwiesel" describes and analyses 100 years Luftwaffen-history in northern Bavaria, beginning with the construction of the first airfields in 1914 up to 2014.
More than 1.500 aircraft crashes can be assigned for Northern Bavaria. Over 26,000 people lost their lives in more than 800 air raids.
The events of history are illustrated with hundreds of b/w pictures, aerial photographs as well as maps and eye-witness-accounts.
Every airfield and every production site as well as anti-aircraft battery-locations are shown and also the actions taken by the Allied air forces against these targets.
Supplemented is this book by an account of every town and village and the airstrikes conducted during the war at this locations. There is also a chronological list of all aircraft-crashes in this area of Germany.
