For almost 70 years American tanks were parts of the picture in the German military scene. After a short break caused by the reunification of Germany a new concept was formed to integrate heavy American equipment in the NATO defense system in Germany.
The authors create an overlook of the new structure concerning the united training of NATO forces in Germany starting with the NATO exercise COMBINED RESOLVE II.
